We Will See Each Other Again in That Beautiful Lyrics

Film this: Y'all've orchestrated the perfect at-home date for your significant other, featuring candles, wine, and a lovingly home-cooked (or lovingly ordered via app) dinner. But just as your person texts you that they're on their way, y'all realize that you take no idea what sort of music to play to retain the romantic ambience. Later all, you can't have your early 2000s guilty pleasure songs come up up on shuffle while you're trying to stare lovingly into your partner's eyes (null ruins the mood like the distinctive "youuuuuu" at the beginning of "Soulja Boy." And yes, that example is based on a true story).

Anyway, I've got you covered with my list of the about beautiful, hopeful, and achingly romantic songs e'er written (in my apprehensive opinion). Y'all'll have your crush/partner/Bumble date swooning.

"ROS" - Mac Miller

Most romantic lyrics: "I'm in your heart, I'thou in your dream/ So fuck the world it's you and me"

Rationale: When the exterior world becomes brutal, many couples turn inward and develop that us-against-the-world mindset. In "ROS," Mac Miller captures what it'south like to feel close to someone, spending much of this song describing the piddling things he loves about his partner, like her "stained glass" eyes, butterscotch-scented peel, and kiwi-flavored lips. The lyrics are intimate in every manner, and Mac delivers them with his characteristic rawness.

"These Arms of Mine" - Otis Redding

Most romantic lyrics: "These artillery of mine, they are lonely/ Lonely and feeling bluish/ These arms of mine, they are yearning/ Yearning from wanting you"

Rationale: This song hits me correct in the breast. Information technology's impossible non to feel your arms and chest aching like Reddings' when he sings nigh burning to hold his lover. The music crescendos effectually his smooth voice as he begs,  "And if you would let them concord you/ Oh, how grateful I would be." It's such a sweetness, hostage plea for love, and its focus on physicality is pretty sexy, likewise.

"Ex Factor" - Lauryn Hill

Most romantic lyrics: "Run across, no one loves y'all more than me/ and no one e'er will"

Rationale: No 1 knows how to obliterate me emotionally quite like Lauryn Hill does. In "Ex Factor" (and on this whole album, allow'south be existent), she's vulnerable, baring all her devotion to her beau. We recognize straightaway that her relationship is toxic, just Hill'southward honesty is and so beautiful that we humble listeners have no choice but to sit, transfixed, and listen.

"Skinny Love" - Bon Iver

Almost romantic lyrics: "Told my beloved to wreck it all/ Cutting out all the ropes and let me fall"

Rationale: When this song came out in 2007, I was in center school. I could not stop singing information technology as I traipsed through my house, near-tears as I crooned nearly "the sink of blood and crushed veneer," equally though my twelve years on world had been rife with tragic love affairs.

Nevertheless, this song still holds upwardly. Bon Iver is a master at depicting what it'south like to fully surrender yourself to someone while aware that they may hurt you in the terminate. I still sing this song while I lounge around my little studio apartment, drawing on real-life experiences this time, though I assure you lot that none of them involved blood-filled sinks or crushed veneers.

"Leather and Lace" - Stevie Nicks & Don Henley

Virtually romantic lyrics: "Lovers forever, face to face up/ My city, your mountains/ Stay with me, stay/ I need yous to love me/ I need you today/ Give me to me your leather, take from me my lace"

Rationale: This is Stevie Nicks' lyricism at its most poignant. She wrote "Leather and Lace" herself and then performed it with Don Henley (of The Eagles) while they were dating. This duet is beautiful in and of itself, but their chemical science and passion for each other makes it all the more impactful. An ex played this for me once, unprompted, and I remember thinking, My God, dude. Why would you lot do this to me?

Wrecked.

The Way Y'all Await This night" - Frank Sinatra

Most romantic lyrics: "Lovely, never, never change/ keep that incoherent charm/ won't you lot please arrange it?/ 'Cause I love y'all/ Just the way you look this evening"

Rationale: Ah, yep. The song that plays at every wedding on earth. Popular songs are popular for a reason, though, and this one endures because of the accepting, unconditional sort of dear that it depicts. In add-on to Sinatra'due south version, I'm as well partial to Fred Astaire'south rendition in the 1936 flick Swing Time and the sweet yet tongue-in-cheek visuals go on with information technology.

"Everlasting Light" - The Black Keys

Well-nigh romantic lyrics: "Allow me be your everlasting light/ Your train going away from pain/ Dearest is the coal that makes this train roll/ Let me exist your everlasting low-cal"

Rationale: If you read the lyrics without the music, the whole song sounds kind of like a late nineteenth century poem. The beloved in this song is then pure and hopeful, and you'll definitely gain cool-points past playing The Blackness Keys on a first appointment.

"To Know Him Is To Beloved Him" - Amy Winehouse

Most romantic lyrics: "To know, know, know him/ Is to dear, honey, love him/ Simply to see that smile/ Makes my life worthwhile"

Rationale: No i does unbridled love like Amy Winehouse. Her soulful voice takes eye phase in this Phil Spector cover, and if you're not already in love, it will make you desire to be.

"Like Real People Do" - Hozier

Most romantic lyrics: "I will not enquire y'all where y'all came from/ I will non ask you, neither should you/ Honey, simply put your sugariness lips on my lips/ We should just kiss similar existent people exercise"

Rationale: Hither, Hozier is trying to convince his dear interest to forget that they both have pasts (who doesn't?) and to just honey him. There's a sense that both people in the vocal consider themselves odd in some way (once again, who doesn't?), and that they've been searching for partners similar each other for ages. "Like Real People Do" reminds u.s. of how miraculous it feels to dear and be loved dorsum.

"Can't Take My Eyes Off You" - Franki Valli & The 4 Seasons

Nearly romantic lyrics: "You lot're just too good to be true/ Can't take my eyes off of you lot/ You lot'd be similar heaven to touch/ I wanna hold you then much"

Rationale: To quote every Boomer from my home state of New Jersey: They just don't brand 'em similar this anymore. And information technology's truthful―this vocal manages to balance emotional and sexual yearning without being crude.

And just... the gratitude Valli feels when he sings most loving his girl so much that he thanks God he's alive. My Lord. They really just practice not brand 'em quite like this anymore.

"Forrest Gump" - Frank Ocean

Virtually romantic lyrics: "My fingertips and my lips/ They burn from the cigarettes/ Forrest Gump, you run my mind, boy/ Running on my mind, boy"

Rationale: This is Frank Body of water's most criminally underrated song and I volition fight anyone who has anything negative to say about information technology. In fact, I once made a very loud, spirited defense of this vocal when I was in high school, correct after Body of water's ill-received performance of it at the 2013 Grammys.

The song is told from the perspective of Jenny in the 1994 film Forrest Gump. It's about a broken, tired person coming back to their pure, enduring beloved after a great deal of time has passed. It's especially meaningful, in my opinion, considering Bounding main penned the vocal in the wake of his very public coming-out.

"Accept Me The Manner I Am" - Ingrid Michaelson

Near romantic lyrics: "'Cause I love you lot more than I could always promise/ And you take me the style I am"

Rationale: What a throwback! Ingrid Michaelson was responsible for some of the sweetest manic-pixie-dream-girl love songs of the early 2000s, and this one was her most pop. Michaelson rejoices in having found a partner who loves her, flaws and all, and she responds in kind, promising to repair what her partner breaks and buy him Rogaine when his pilus starts falling out. It's a hope to dear someone forever.

"I'm Not Dead" - P!nk

Most romantic lyrics: "Correct beyond the cigarette and the devilish smile/You're my crack of sunlight/ Yous tin do the math a k ways/ But you tin't erase the facts/ That others come and others go/ Simply you lot always come dorsum"

Rationale: This is my favorite era of P!nk'south music. In "I'g Non Dead," she writes a frank, unapologetic love song about being a flawed homo deeply in love with another flawed human. Waxing poetic virtually her and her swain's (her hereafter husband, Cary Hart, past the mode) tattoos and alluding to her ain mental illness, P!nk eschews all tired clichés about dear in favor of something far more authentic and affecting.

"Hannah Hunt" - Vampire Weekend

About romantic lyrics: "A human being of faith said hidden eyes could see what I was thinkin'/ I but smiled and told him/ That was only true of Hannah"

Rationale: Oh, Ezra Koenig, how y'all wound me with your cute words! In this song, our narrator seems to be moving around the U.S. with his honey Hannah until she grows homesick for the east coast. Having lived in New England for effectually seven years, I'1000 partial to this vocal for its "freezing beaches" references, but it's also a gentle tribute to the way time glides away when you're with someone y'all love.

"A Song For Yous" - Donny Hathaway

Most romantic lyrics: "I dear yous in a place/ Where there's no infinite or time/ I dear you for my life/ Yous're a friend of mine/ And when my life is over/ Recall when we were together"

Rationale: There take been many versions of this song, but this one's my favorite. It was as well Amy Winehouse'south favorite. Donny Hathaway sings this with such feeling that one can't help but feel he's reciting a memoir when he sings his apology to a woman he neglected to settle downwards with considering he was too busy performing around the world.

"Maps" - Aye Yeah Yeahs

Most romantic lyrics: "Don't stray/ My kind'southward your kind/ I'll stay the same."

Rationale: Yep, this vocal is 90 per centum just Karen O singing "Wait, they don't love you similar I love yous," but it'south and then powerful! If you say something the right way, and the accompanying music is good enough, at that place's no need to embellish much more than. Proof: Beyoncé conspicuously nods to this song in her 2016 unmarried "Agree Up." "Maps" endures, over a decade later, beyond genres.

"If I Own't Got You" - Alicia Keys

Most romantic lyrics: "Some people want diamond rings/ Some just want everything/ Only everything ways nothing/ If I own't got y'all"

Rationale: This song is all the more touching when yous recall that she wrote it but as she was first to get famous. She promises that her renown―the fruit of all her labor―along with promises of riches, jewelry, or countless life would all mean nothing if she didn't accept her man.

"Pino Tree Lines" - Told Slant

Near romantic lines: "I am the girl my parents fabricated/ Why don't you love me anyway/ 'Cause I dearest the manner y'all take upwardly space"

Rationale: Devastating genius. Pb singer Felix Walworth delivers this vocal so earnestly that his vox literally cracks during that concluding line. I've never heard a simpler or more than startlingly accurate delineation of adoration than loving the way someone takes up infinite.

"Inevitable" - Shakira

Virtually romantic lyrics: "To be even more honest/ No one thinks about you/ The way I do" (Translated from Castilian)

Rationale: Shakira spends about of this song laying out all her imperfections―that she doesn't know how to make coffee, that she doesn't understand soccer, that she oversleeps, etc.―and and then proceeds to ask her human to love her anyhow.

"I Institute Y'all" - Alabama Shakes

Well-nigh romantic lyrics: "I recollect all them lonely days/ I traveled out on my own/ And so you brought me everything/ You lot made my house a home"

Rationale: This is a commemoration of finally finding your person. So who better to listen to it with than your person? Romantic, indeed.

"Rag Doll" - Franki Valli & The Iv Seasons

Virtually romantic lines: "I'd modify her sad rags/ Into glad rags if I could/ My folks won't let me/ 'Cause they say that she's no good."

Rationale: Another Four Seasons song, yeah. I'thou from Jersey. Sue me.

Franki Valli declares his unconditional love for a daughter much poorer than he is, fantasizing almost replacing her tattered dress with lace and finery. In spite of her poverty, he ends the song past crying, "I dear you just the mode you lot are."

He wants to give everything to someone who can offer him zippo fabric. All he wants is her.

"Since I've Been Loving You" - Led Zeppelin

Almost romantic lyrics: "But baby, since I've been loving you, yeah/ I'm about to lose my worried heed/ Oh, yeah"

Rationale: Homo, these lyrics wait so underwhelming when written downward sans musical accompaniment. Information technology's tragic.

What makes this song so romantic, to me, is the organ and bass piece of work by John Paul Jones pair with Robert Plant's searing vocals. It's a power dejection song that hits you lot right in the gut. If desperate want were a sound, this would be it.

"You Got Me" - Erykah Badu and The Roots

Most romantic lines: "If you don't worry 'tour where/ I been or who I saw  or/ What club I went to with my homies/ Infant, don't worry, you know that you got me"

Rationale: I cried when I saw this live. Erykah reassures her boyfriend during the chorus that she'll ever be loyal to him, while Black Thought (lead MC of The Roots) uses his verses to tell the story of a lifelong romance. Information technology's the best love song in hip hop, hands down.

"(You Brand Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman - Aretha Franklin

Near romantic lyrics: "When my soul was in the lost and plant/ You came along to merits information technology/ I didn't know just what was incorrect with me/ 'Til your osculation helped me name it"

Rationale: Nosotros should heal ourselves rather than wait around for someone to heal us, simply that doesn't hateful that love can't be a healing experience. It's really romantic to thank someone for making you lot experience skillful, and that'due south precisely what this vocal (written past the flawless Carole Male monarch) is about.

"Jade" - Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros

Most romantic lyrics: "Nosotros can't help simply follow, she'south Buddha, simply sentry her/ She moves like an onetime gypsy woman but swears she's a girl/ And all that she asks we'll allow her/ For Jade is the girl of the hour"

Rationale: Alex Ebert wrote this song for Jade Castrinos when they were both nonetheless dating and still the frontpeople of Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros. The song is a quiet love alphabetic character to Castrinos―you lot could imagine Ebert singing it to her at night by the campfire while the residuum of the band is asleep (that'due south this band's vibe, really). It's a shame that we no longer get to spotter the sweet human relationship between these talented musicians, but at least we'll e'er have this hippie love song.

"Wild Horses" - The Rolling Stones

Nigh romantic lyrics: "Graceless lady/ You know who I am/ You lot know I can't let you/ Slide through my hands/ Wild horses/ Couldn't drag me away"

Rationale: Ane of the wildest bands of the '60s and '70s also happened to write i of the most poignant songs nearly honey and devotion. This is near a long, deep intimacy betwixt two people, and of existence physically unable to resist the person you adore.

"Jim Bogart" - The Front Bottoms

Most romantic lyrics: "I would sleep ameliorate on your floor/ Than I would ever in my bed/ And if your rug makes my confront itch/ Information technology'd notwithstanding be sky in my head"

Rationale: "Jim Bogart" opens with the above lyrics, sung with lead singer Brian Sella'southward signature raw vocals. He abandons all pride in his honey for this daughter, promising to practice his guitar every night, to sleep on her floor without complaint, and to to ignore his doctor'due south communication―all to win her beloved. We shouldn't accept to debase ourselves for love (*rolls eyes* yep, yeah aye), only this is art. And if we're being honest, this sentiment is relatable for anyone who's prayed for their honey to exist reciprocated.

"Loving You lot" - Elvis Presley

Nearly romantic lyrics: "If I'm seen with someone new/ Don't be blue, don't yous exist blue/ I'll be faithful, I'll be true/ Always truthful, true to you"

Rationale: Elvis tells his dearest not to go jealous or to believe the hype effectually him and other women, reassuring her that she's the ane for him. Although multiple sources have claimed that Elvis did, indeed, cheat on his wife, Priscilla, this remains his sweetest love song.

"Melissa" - The Allman Brothers Band

Well-nigh romantic lyrics: "Knowing many, loving none/ Bearin' sorrow, havin' fun/ But back home he'll always run/ To sweet Melissa"

Rationale: Hither, the Allman Brothers sing about a traveling musician who can't get over his sweetheart no matter how many other women he meets. She e'er ends up resurfacing in his mind, and eventually, he always returns to her.

"My Old Homo" - Joni Mitchell

Most romantic lyrics: "He'south my sunshine in the morning time/ He's my fireworks at the end of the solar day/ He'south the warmest chord I ever head/ Play that warm chord, play and stay, infant"

Rationale: Mitchell's soaring mezzo-soprano meanders through a portrait of her relationship in this song, insisting throughout that, "We don't demand no slice of newspaper from the city hall." She's saying that she doesn't need external validation of the relationship―this man gives her all she needs to experience secure in their bond.

"Devil In a New Clothes" - Kanye West, Rick Ross

Well-nigh romantic lyrics: "Put your hands to the constellations/ The style you look should be a sin, you my sensation"

Rationale: Kanye Westward is a pretty polarizing figure, only this is still one of my favorite albums of all time. It's a bittersweet tribute to his infamous relationship with Amber Rose, and this song encapsulates the often-sexy, always-complicated connection between ii people who aren't good for each other, yet can't stay abroad from one another.

"Beloved of My Life (An Ode to Hip Hop)" - Erykah Badu, Common

Most romantic lyrics: "Merely that is all backside me/ 'Cause at present there is no other/ My dearest is his and his is mine/ A friend became the/ Love of my life"

Rationale: Conventional advice tells us to fall in love with someone who can be our  friend, too. This song is virtually 2 lifelong best friends who discover their way back to each other later fourth dimension spent apart. With her famously beguiling vocalism, Erykah Badu captures the joy of being truly known past i'due south partner.

"A Sunday Kind of Love" - Etta James

Most romantic lyrics: "I want a Sun kind of love/ A love to last past Sat night/ I want to know it'due south more than dearest at offset sight"

Rationale: We've all been at this betoken before. If Etta James were to accept written this song today, she would take been explaining that she was sick of one-nighttime-stands and Tinder/Bumble/Swivel dates that go nowhere. She'd be saying she was tired of sweaty strangers in bars shouting into her ear, over deafening music, request if she wants to take a shot.

Instead, she'd want something substantial. Someone to relax and rampage Schitt's Creek reruns with on the weekends.

May we all detect that Sun kind love.

"Babe I'm Yours" - Arctic Monkeys

Most romantic lyrics: "Baby, I'g yours/ And I'll be yours until the stars fall from the heaven/ Yours until the rivers all run dry/ In other words, until I die"

Rationale: This song sounds like information technology was written in the '50s or '60s. In some ways, information technology'southward your run-of-the-mill slow song, just there's something charming about the Arctic Monkeys being the ones to perform this retro pledge of devotion.

"She Will Exist Loved" - Maroon v

Almost romantic lyrics:"I don't mind spendin' everyday / Out on your corner in the pourin' rain"

Rationale:I remember listening to this song in eye school, wishing that the boy I had a crush on would love me plenty to stand outside my window in the pelting. In hindsight, that would have been awkward and inconvenient to explain to my mother, and these days I would probably discover such behavior creepy (when I'm in my pajamas in my flat, peacefully eating Takis and watching The Sopranos, the final affair I need is a man continuing exterior, watching me from the street like something out of The Exorcist), only the sentiment of this song still stands.

"Because the Night" - Patti Smith

Almost romantic lyrics: "Come on, now, try and sympathise/ The way I feel when I'g in your hands/ Take my hand, come undercover/ They can't injure you now"

Rationale: In this song, which was originally written by lyrical fable Bruce Springsteen, Smith promises her lover that he's prophylactic with her. If you've read Smith's volume But Kids, you'll probably mind to this song and think of her and Robert Mapplethorpe singing and dancing to it downwards the streets of lower Manhattan.

"La Vie En Rose" - Edith Piaf

Most romantic lyrics: "When he holds me in his arms/ And he speaks to me softly/ I see the earth through rose-colored glasses" (Translated from French)

Rationale: You definitely know this song. It's the go-to for every romantic scene in every American motion-picture show about France. And, granted, information technology's a bully choice for a dinner engagement, peculiarly if you lot desire to get a picayune slow dancing started.

"Someday" - The Growlers

Most romantic lyrics: "Just stay for ane more than dark/ I mean solar day you're gonna exist my wife/ You'll never have to worry once more/ I'm gonna be your human"

Rationale: It sounds pb singer Brooks Nielsen's now-wife was getting really sick of his bullshit, and that he wrote this vocal as a plea to get her to say. It's poetic, energetic, and hopeful, and it would have worked on me, too, tbh.

"Wouldn't It Be Squeamish" - The Beach Boys

Most romantic lyrics: "Wouldn't information technology be nice if we were older?/ Then we wouldn't have to wait so long"

Rationale: This is sung from the perspective of someone who's already certain most who he wants to spend the residual of his life with. And he's wishing that the residuum of his life could kickoff right now.

"Stay" - Rihanna, Mikky Ekko

About romantic lyrics: "Not really sure how to experience about it/ Somethin' in the way y'all move/ Makes me feel like I can't live without you"

Rationale: Love isn't a formula. At that place'southward no real logic to why we autumn in love with some people but not others, and Rihanna hits the nail on the caput when she says it'southward simply "something in the way [he] motion[s]." Information technology's reminiscent of The Beatles' song "Something." Speaking of which...

"Something" - The Beatles

Most romantic lyrics: "Something in the fashion she moves / Attracts me similar no other lover / Something in the style she woos me / I don't want to exit her now"

Rationale:This song is a slow, dreamy ode on an otherwise bluesy album. George Harrison was the Beatle who penned it, writing that he wasn't sure what exactly triggered his love or whether it would grow.  All he knew was that the love was there, and that that should exist enough.

"Androgynous" - The Replacements

Well-nigh romantic lyrics: "And they love each other so/ Androgynous/ Closer than nosotros know, beloved each other and so/ Androgynous"

Rationale: This song is about two non-binary people falling in dearest, which is pretty cool for a song from 1984. Our primary characters, archetypically named Dick and Jane, love each other regardless of gender. The Replacements make a compelling argument about why traditional gender roles and vesture should brand no difference if y'all're truly in love with someone.

"I'll Be Seeing You" - Billie Vacation

Well-nigh romantic lyrics: "I'll notice y'all in the morning lord's day/ In every lovely summertime'due south day/ In everything that's correct and gay/ I'll always think of y'all"

Rationale: You lot know when you're freshly in love (or heartbroken), and everything reminds you of that person? That'south what this song is near. Everything effectually Holiday―the natural globe, a park, a cafe, a carousel―is a fond reminder of her beloved.

"Dominicus Processed" - Donnie Trumpet & The Social Experiment

Most romantic lyrics: "Y'all've got to move it slowly/ Take it in my torso like information technology's holy/ I've been waiting for yous for the whole week/ I've been praying for you, you're my Sunday processed"

Rationale: The Social Experiment is the hip hop collective that boasts members such as Adventure the Rapper and Vic Mensa (the quondam of which is featured heavily on this song). Jamila Woods performs the chorus to this vocal so sweetly that it'due south piece of cake to forget the sexual implications, and she and Chance tell the story of a couple that spends a week at a time missing each other, absorbed in thoughts of 1 another until they're finally reunited.

"Come As You Are" - Nirvana

Most romantic lyrics: "Come up as y'all are/ Every bit you were/ As I want yous to exist"

Rationale: There are many interpretations of what this song means, ranging from mental health to friendship to commentary on inauthenticity. Just, to me, "Come up As Y'all Are" works as the ultimate grunge beloved vocal; every bit a promise to dear and appreciate someone but the fashion they are.

"Please, Please, Delight" - James Brown

Most romantic lyrics: "Infant please, baby delight, delight me/ Baby delight, baby please don't go/ Don't get, I said baby, don't baby/ I love you then"

Rationale: This song is almost entirely comprised of James Brown repeating "please," and, supposedly, he got a lot of flack from his producers about that earlier its release. But, like the Yeah Aye Yeahs' "Maps," this track'due south magic lies in the passion with which it'due south delivered–and James Brown is nothing if not passionate.

"I Will Always Love You" - Dolly Parton

Most romantic lyrics: "And I hope life volition treat you lot kind/ And I hope that you have all/ That you e'er dreamed of/ Oh, I practise wish you joy/ And I wish you happiness/ But above all this/ I wish you dear"

Rationale: Without a doubt, you lot're familiar with Whitney Houston'south rendition of "I Will Always Love You lot," just I love Dolly Parton's soft-spoken, state version equally well. Where Houston belts, Parton croons, making this a great alternative for when you desire to hear this song on a placidity evening in.

 "Songbird" - Fleetwood Mac

Well-nigh romantic lyrics: "And I wish you all the dearest in the world/ Only most of all, I wish it from myself/ And the songbirds go on singing/ Like they know the score"

Rationale: Fleetwood Mac'due south members were notorious for hooking up within their ranks, and Christine McVie (writer and primary vocalizer on this song) was no exception. This is a unique love song, because it does unconditional love unlike whatsoever other: It illustrates how it's entirely possible to love someone and desire the best for them while accepting, albeit sadly, that you might not exist that best thing.

"First Day of My Life" - Vivid Eyes

Virtually romantic lyrics: "But I realized I need you/ And I wondered if I could come home"

Rationale: This Bright Eyes rails makes me wish I was better at playing guitar. Frontman Conor Oberst makes a frank plea for his love, telling her, "I'g glad I didn't dice before I met you," and asking for permission to approach. Information technology'southward an exercise in startling honesty, and the result, similar the whole album, is profound.

"Sea of Dear" - Cat Power

Most romantic lyrics: "Come with me, my dear/ To the sea, the sea of love/ I wanna tell yous/ How much I dearest you "

Rationale: Originally, the last song on this list was going to be T.I.'south "Whatever You lot Like" because I'm determined that it will play at my hymeneals ane twenty-four hours (I'chiliad not kidding), simply "Sea of Love" is as well romantic to pass up. With minimal instrumentation, Cat Power delivers a brief but heartfelt honey letter whose genius lies in its profound simplicity. ten/ten.
